I was born and raised in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, and still live there today. I’m enrolled in the Web and Mobile Application Development Diploma program.
I currently work at a small private college as an executive assistant as well as doing graphic design, marketing, and some front-end web design, but am looking to add new skillsets and eventually shift my career to include web design & development. After graduation, my goal is to start my own company doing branding, graphic design, and web/app development. This career path appeals to me because I’m a creative person, and love the option of a career with flexible hours and ability to work remotely. A remote career will be perfect for me as I place a lot of importance on maintaining a healthy work-play life balance, with freedom to travel, work flexible hours, go on adventures, and just have time to myself.
